Important: Generator Exhaust Installation Information

Disclaimer: Notice: The emergency exhaust detail is derived from the grease duct system listed for up to a 2-hour external fire rating.  Always review and confirm the use of this product with site building officials prior to commencing with installation.

For emergency generator exhausts installations, we recommend that the product be installed using the 2-layer grease duct system without foil jacketing on inside layer to eliminate any odour that may occur when the foil is exposed to elevated temperatures.  While CL4FIRE can provide an external fire rating using lighter insulation, we recommend the 8 lb. density CL4FIRE ‘Blue’ to offer optimum thermal performance that is more robust and cooler on the outside while the generator is operating. The product can be offered with a foil scrim laminated on the external side of the outside layer for damage protection and easy identification.
